Baby, Baby, Baby

Mama!
Lots of fluttering around the nest feeding the cheeping birdies makes them so vulnerable to the ever alert squirrels. I am amazed any survive. Good luck little birdies.

or Pieris

The new foliage looks like flowers because it is red. They are budding presently. There will be clusters of lily of the valley like flowers in the spring. Sometime they have the white flowers and the new red foliage together making them even more decorative. They are a nice shrub for a container. I'm moving this one up to a larger container soon.

Awww, those are the cutest little baby birds! Hungry too. Is their mama feeding them or are you hand feeding them?

Wonderful pictures of the baby birds. They are so hungry. :) I love that Andromeda plant, the foliage is very interesting.

Love the pics of the babies! Pieris is a great shrub too and yours is great with all that new color.

P.S. PGL-Now I have add that L huh? I keep forgetting it. Much shorter and we all know you too!

Their parents can't miss those targets. What an unending job filling up those gaping mouths.
I enjoy watching baby birds maturing and learning to fly in the backyard. I often wonder if this year's parents were the babies I observed last year.

Donna, you have made great pictures of those tiny, hungry baby birds. I hope too they survive. What kind of bird are they?

Donna,

I didn't know there were still little babies in the nests! But I know very little about birds,

Gail

Your babies are too sweet and innocent. I've tried to grow that shrub but it died both times. I think it is too hot and sunny for it in my garden.

Mother Nature,

Aw. "Baby's first close-up," something I'm sure their mother would love to have a copy of! :)

It's incredible where the mother bird chooses to be happy! The end result was worth it, though.
I think the wrens are amongst the loveliest of birds.
