Nice video! Thanks for the hint with my un-red-edged hebe. It's planted in full blasting sun in my parking strip, so light doesn't seem like it could be the culprit. Maybe temp, as you also mentioned - I will try to be sure to look at it again when fall arrives for good. Thanks!
